I know of three parts that control the brake on a C8FB Slide Compound Saw. They would be the 998839 Switch. The 999043 Brushes, if they are too short the brake will not work as it should. Or it could be the 340108G Stator Assembly, the small brake windings maybe shorted or burnt.WJA
